Melanie Oram (Director)

While at HBO Sports, Melanie earned an Emmy for Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel and a Peabody for the documentary Dare to Compete: The Struggle of Women in SportsUnder the Bajan Brownstone Productions banner, she wrote and directed SHOOK a short film that aired on Showtime and won several festival awards.  She directed the short play NMA that was part of a short play collection called The R-Word which did a short off-Broadway run. While helming Bajan Brownstone Productions she also created content for Harlem Stage, Women’s Project Theater, and Rattlestick Theater in New York City. Melanie earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude from Harvard University and a MFA from Columbia University -School of the Arts -Filmmaking Division.

Andretta Hamilton (Producer)
Andretta is a seasoned filmmaker and founder of Broadmind Entertainment. Most recently, she produced AS EVIL DOES, an independent feature starring Bill Cobbs and Dorian Missick. Her other production credits include the documentary AMEN: The Life and Music of Jester Hairston, the independent feature Indelible (Rosalyn Coleman, Tristan Wilds, and Emmy-Award winner Ann Dowd), The N Word documentary, a Peabody Award winner, A. Philip Randolph: For Jobs and Freedom– an award-winning PBS documentary film (WETA-TV), Breakthrough: The Changing Face of Science in America, and the Emmy-Award winning PBS documentary series The Great Depression.

Prior to launching Broadmind Entertainment, Andretta worked for Walt Disney Studios in the Telefilms Division. She currently works with the American Film Market. She has a BA cum laude from Harvard University and a MFA from the University of Southern California Peter Stark Motion Picture Producing Program
Traci E. Alexander (Consulting Producer)

Dr. “TEA” Traci E. Alexander is a powerhouse mom in the media industry and an award-winning journalist for Ebony.Com and BET.  She has garnered exclusive sit-down interviews with notable leaders such as President Barack Obama and she was the first African American woman to anchor the evening news for ABC in Central Louisiana.  Her research and Rolodex have catapulted her into a prominent role as a leader in the fields of communication and leadership development–specializing in Strategic Branding & Public Relations and Fundraising & Business Development for organizations dedicated to advancing social justice for women of color and under served and marginalized communities. 

Dr. TEA is a connector and recognized as the “Westchester Connection and beyond”– connecting people with passion to causes with purpose. Her commitment to education is to increase the number of men and women of color attaining advanced degrees in higher education.  Her passion is to get people reading and keep them reading by introducing the audience to prominent authors; thereby, creating an unforgettable interactive experience in such a way that the words of the author comes alive providing that memorable moment of opportunity for the audience to get to know the author in a deeper more meaningful way.
